The Family of George Holland 1834-c1875.

This web-site discusses the ancestors of my great-grandfather
George Holland and some of his descendants.
As you will see from the information here, my part of
the family lost contact with the other Hollands in the nineteenth century.
Consequently my information about the other branches of the family after this date
is very limited.
This part of the Holland family came from Onibury and Culmington
and lived in the area from the mid sixteenth century. It started with
Charles Holland from Leintwardine. The family remained
in Onibury until the late eighteenth century. John Holland,
born in Onibury in 1777, moved into Culmington when he married Sarah Evans in 1801.
They had a least three children, two of whom intermarried with the Didluck family, while
their eldest son, Thomas Holland, married Mary Bywaters and moved into Halford. George
Holland was one of his sons.
In early 2005, I produced a booklet (price £2) describing this family ancestors Please contact me (Susan Laflin) by email at preen@one-name.org. if you wish to obtain a copy. A copy has been deposited in Shropshire Archives (reference: BH 57 v.f.) and so has the source data on which it is based (reference SA 07322).
